OMRI Listed Ascophyllum Nodosum Seaweed Extract Green Powder
General Information of Seaweed Extract
Seaweed extract is a water-soluble seaweed extract primarily derived from Ascophyllum nodosum. Utilizing internationally advanced secondary low-temperature directional enzymatic hydrolysis technology, membrane filtration, and natural preservatives, this extract extracts naturally active substances from the seaweed that can be directly absorbed and utilized by crops. These include small molecule active oligosaccharides (≤2000 Da), natural free amino acids, phenolic polymers, mannitol, betaine, vitamins, natural minerals, and natural plant growth regulators. It is recognized worldwide as an ideal core ingredient for pollution-free, green, and organic foods.
It offers a balanced nutritional profile and can be applied as a foliar spray or irrigation to provide nutritional support for crops. It is suitable for a variety of crops, including conventional, organic, and turf crops. Long-term use is recommended, as it provides a stable source of nutrients for plants and soil microorganisms and helps the soil retain air and moisture for longer periods of time.
It is stable, safe, non-toxic, non-irritating, and non-deliquescent.

Benifits of Seaweed Extract
Nature Plant Growth Regulators(PGR)
There are very important Plant Hormones naturally found in Seaweed. Natural hormones, the most important of which are auxins, cytokinins, betaine, and gibberellins. These hormones are essential for plant health. Most are only needed in very small proportions, but they are still important.
Auxin
There are many different types of auxins, each with its own specific function. One of the most important is balancing growth rates, promoting growth, stimulating root growth, and preventing buds from forming or opening at the wrong time.
Seaweed contains natural auxins that play a vital role in the plant's own auxin production. This is because enzymes, formed with the help of trace elements in seaweed fertilizers, play a key role in the production of these auxins.
Cytokinin
Cytokinins are another important class of plant hormones. They initiate and activate essential growth processes. Cytokinins found in seaweed extracts mobilize nutrients from leaves, stimulating plant growth more effectively.
They also protect against marginal frost (down to -3°C). Cytokinins also slow the aging process in plants.
Betaine
Betaine plays a crucial role in the plant's osmotic process. They help increase water absorption and are particularly effective in drought conditions. Betaine is also particularly beneficial for plants experiencing stress.
Nature trace elements and special element Iodine
Seaweed extract contains a balanced blend of macro-, secondary-, and trace elements, promoting crop growth. Seaweed also contains a unique element, iodine, which is naturally present in seaweed. Iodine helps regulate protein synthesis and degradation, enhances enzyme activity in crops, promotes growth and development, and has antibacterial and disinfectant properties, protecting plant health.
This product does not affect calcium absorption, making it safer for use in soils low in calcium. It penetrates plant pores, ensuring rapid nutrient absorption even when applied to the leaves.
Foliar application is the most effective and efficient way to apply seaweed extract to plants. Foliar spraying is 8-20 times more effective than broadcast application.
Spray the seaweed extract into a fine mist until it drips from the plant leaves. The plants will immediately absorb the nutrients and continue to benefit the following day.
Application of Seaweed Extract
Seaweed Extract can be used as a base or additive for foliar fertilizers, flush fertilizers, organic fertilizers, compound (mixed) fertilizers, elemental fertilizers, and biofertilizers. It can be applied directly by flushing, foliar spraying, or drip irrigation. It can also be used as a feed or bait additive for livestock and aquaculture.
Flush fertilization, foliar fertilizer: the main material addition amount is 50-200 kg/ton, and the auxiliary material addition amount is 5-10
kg/ton;
Compound (mixed) fertilizer, elemental fertilizer, biological fertilizer: the addition amount is 5-10 kg/ton;
Foliar spray: Dilute 2000-3000 times, use 30-40 grams per mu, stir and spray evenly;
Root irrigation, drip irrigation: diluted 1000-3000 times, 400-1000 grams per mu;
Seed dressing: 0.5g/kg seeds;
Seed soaking: diluted 600-800 times;
Feed additives: The general addition amount is 30-100 kg/ton;
Aquaculture: Use 1-2kg per mu of water surface, about 3-5g/m
